Aligned Work

Lighter Living

Sharing, reuse, and repair helps make our daily lives more sustainable: it promotes Lighter Living (living better, healthier, and with less impact, less waste, more sharing and more of what matters). Sharing, reusing, and repairing our stuff reduces our need for new products, maintains their functionality, and extends their life. It is also a great way to enable lower cost options for consumers and provide decent, inclusive employment.
One Earth and Vancity are working together with partners across Southwestern BC to empower and support those already working towards Lighter Living, as well as help them establish a journey that community members can follow to live a re-imagined good life.

CityHive Envirolab

CityHive runs the Envirolab innovation lab for youth between the ages of 18-30 focused on tackling the complex challenges Metro Vancouver faces confronting the climate crisis. The first cohort of Envirolab focused on solutions to achieve a Lighter Footprint in a variety of ways. You can learn more about that first cohort here.
Share Reuse Repair Initiative is proud to sit on the CityHive Envirolab Steering Committee and looks forward to the four forthcoming labs.

Brands for Better

Brands for Better Project Inc. is running a Battle for Good aiming to bring Vancouver’s top creative thinkers, innovators and disrupters together to compete head to head and flip the script on pressing environmental issues that are important to our city. The Battle consists of a Strategy Hack-A-Thon for Good and a Public Pitch Night.
SRRI is one of the founding brands involved on the Cause and Impact team, and Rosemary is a key contributor.
