Just Circular Recovery
and Transition

SRRI’s mission is to create a  robust sharing, reuse, and repair (SRR) sector that is a waste and climate solution, enables all people to live well within household budgets, and supports the development of more sustainable and just local economies.

In response to COVID-19 we are prioritizing the development of an economic recovery strategy focused around sharing, reuse and repair (SRR) that is green and just. We know that
SRR has tremendous potential to create inclusive jobs and livelihoods for all skill and income levels yet these opportunities are not well understood nor effectively communicated, and the movement has not meaningfully engaged marginalized communities.

Stay tuned as we post here about how we are contributing to the realization of a more just, circular economy than our dominant system pre-COVID. If you would like to contact us to get involved or learn more, please use our webform.

Jobs & Skills in the Circular Economy

The Circle Economy's Circular Jobs Initiative released this report in March 2020. Through the lens of the initiative's three core pillars--skilling, quality of jobs and inclusivity—this report provides an overview of how current labour market issues apply to the circular economy transition, the opportunities that circularity presents for the labour market and the challenges that need to be overcome to achieve a future labour market that enables people and the planet to thrive.
